Human Resources provides a centralized source of support and assistance by providing general personnel administration, recruitment and selection, training and development, health and wellness, employee relations, compensation and benefits administration, and a city-wide customer service program. Human Resources is also responsible for providing risk management services for the municipality. These services include safety, liability insurance management, worker’s compensation, OSHA compliance, and third party claims against the City. Human Resources also implements goals and special projects as assigned by the City Manager and City Council.

Employment

The City is the seventh largest employer in Salisbury. Open positions become available throughout the year and include full-time, part-time and seasonal work.

Family Celebration | Celebracion Familiar

National Hispanic Heritage Month is September 15 through October 15. In honor of this annual recognition, the Hispanic Coalition of Salisbury will once again host its annual La Fiesta de Rowan celebration in downtown Salisbury. The event will be held on Saturday, Oct. 6 from 12 to 5 p.m. in the 100 block of E. Fisher St.

El 15 de Septiembre hasta el 15 de Octubre es el mes de la herencia hispana nacional. En honor de este reconocimiento, La Coalición Hispana de Salisbury tendrá el evento anual, La Fiesta de Rowan, en el centro de Salisbury. El evento será el sábado, 6 de Octubre desde las 12 del día has las 5 pm en el bloque 100 de East Fisher Street.

Risk Management

Risk Management is responsible for the oversight and protection of all City assets through the purchase of insurance, contractual risk transfer, program and operational analysis, mitigation of insured losses, safety and loss prevention and related programs and policy development.

Risk Management oversees the pursuit of insurance recoveries for damages caused to City property and vehicles by third parties. Employee safety and compliance with federal and state mandated safety regulations are managed and monitored though development of standards and training required under the Occupational Safety and Health Act.
