Following the Rowan District Attorney Brandy Cook’s decision regarding the officer involved shooting on November 9, 2017 to not seek any charges against the officers involved, Chief Jerry Stokes has released the following statement. 

On the heels of the Salisbury Police Department’s recent assessment by the Department of Justice/Office of Justice Programs, (DOJ), Salisbury is one of two National Public Safety Partnership (PSP) Diagnostic Sites for 2018.

At approximately 12:20 p.m. today, deputies with the Greenville Police Department VCAT Unitand agents of the State Bureau of Investigation Fugitive Task Force arrested 33-year-old Willie Earl Williams Jr at 3941 S. Charles Blvd. in Greenville, NC.
