The Public Art Committee (PAC) was formed in 2003 to celebrate the City’s history and culture through public art in the downtown, including the Salisbury Sculpture Show, History and Art Trail and the Art in Public Spaces program. 

The Public Art Committee meets at One Water Street at 11:30 a.m.

Sixteen communities within the City of Salisbury will observe National Night Out, Tuesday, Aug. 6, with free music, food, children’s games and other outdoor activities, featuring officers of the Salisbury Police Department (SPD).

As Dorian approaches the Carolinas, Rowan Emergency Services and the City of Salisbury will continue to monitor the storm.

Join local law enforcement as they present violent crime statistics during its Rowan County Violent Crime Data Review Monday, Sept. 23, at 5:30 p.m. at the Park Avenue Community Center, 632 Park Ave.

The Rowan County Violent Crime Data Review will present violent crime statistics. There will be an opportunity for discussion and a Q&A about Rowan County’s strategies to prevent violent crime that may have a positive effect on local neighborhoods.

The Salisbury Police Department Vice/Narcotics Unit with the assistance of the Salisbury Police Department CID and SRT, the Rowan County Sheriff’s Department Special Investigative Unit and SRT, executed two simultaneous search warrants on Wednesday morning (9/25/2019). These search warrants were the result of a several month long investigation by the Salisbury Police Vice/Narcotics Unit. Multiple firearms and drugs were found during these raids. 

Salisbury Public Services Director Tony Cinquemani III has announced his retirement, effective February 2020, making way for W. Craig Powers’ promotion to lead the department.
