On Sunday, October 26, 2025, at approximately 8:15 p.m., Salisbury Police officers responded to a disturbance call at the Cookout restaurant located on East Innes Street. Upon arrival, the first responding officer encountered a male subject armed with a knife. As the second officer arrived, a struggle ensued, and the suspect began swinging the knife, causing minor injuries to one of the officers.

The Salisbury Police Department is releasing additional details following Sunday night’s incident at the Cookout restaurant located on East Innes Street.

Salisbury Transit will offer free Fixed Route and ADA Paratransit rides on Election Day, Tuesday, Nov. 4.

Starting in January 2026, the current transit Route 3 or Blue Route will be serviced with on-demand microtransit. The Salisbury microtransit pilot project will function as a rideshare service where passengers can request a same day pick-up.
