City of Salisbury receives award for Excellence in Financial Reporting for FY19-2020

The City of Salisbury’s finance department has been awarded the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting from the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada (GFOA) for the fiscal year ended June 30, 2020. The Certificate of Achievement for the city’s comprehensive annual financial report (CAFR) is the highest form of recognition in the area of governmental accounting and financial reporting.

Litter Sweep - Winter 2022

On Saturday, January 8, 2022 from 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM, meet community members and city staff to collect litter off of Brenner Ave. We will meet at the Harris Teeter parking lot on the intersection of Jake Alexander Blvd and Brenner Ave at 10:00 AM. From there, we will disperse and collect litter on the roadsides and in the brush.

‘Tis the season to get rid of holiday waste

The City of Salisbury Public Works Department is inviting residents to participate in the Free Annual Winter Spruce-Up Week scheduled Monday, Jan. 3 through Friday, Jan 7, 2022. Conveniently held following the holidays, this week allows citizens to rid their homes of the extra boxes, paper, and trash items that come along with the festivities.

Employee Spotlight: Jason Parks, Video Services Coordinator/TV Station Manager

Starting a career with the City of Salisbury in 2003 as the City’s first webmaster, Jason Parks currently serves as Video Services Coordinator / TV Station Manager. In his role, Jason does project research, provides audio and video support to City staff, and film projects such as City Council meetings and PSAs. He is also responsible for creating and managing content for WSRG-TV, the City’s local government TV station.
