The Communications Department's purpose is to serve as a central source of city information by providing a singular voice and facilitating creative communications solutions for the City of Salisbury.

To provide professional, timely, and accurate information, marketing and communication services to the citizens of Salisbury, and in some instances, Rowan County. To assist in the coordination of internal communications to all city employees.

To manage and coordinate the City of Salisbury website, media relations, social media, crisis communications, television services, and print communications. To implement goals and special projects as assigned by the City Council and City Manager.

Linda McElroy supervises all aspects of communications for the City of Salisbury, including strategic communications, media relations, public relations counsel and citizen education programs

She serves as a member of the City of Salisbury’s Management Team.

Jason Parks is the station manager for WSRG-TV. He provides Audio/Visual services and support for city departments, and produces content for WSRG-TV, including departmental information, and City Council meetings.

Fern Blair manages the City's websites and employee intranet, including design, development and hosting solutions.

She also oversees marketing efforts for the City and all departments, including the monthly newsletter, advertising, brochures, flyers, branding and logos.

Kaisha Brown manages the city's social media accounts, writes articles for the monthly City newsletter and supports public relation efforts including writing news releases.

She also supports the City's television show as a reporter and video editor.
