What is the Parks and Recreation Advisory Board?

The Parks and Recreation Advisory Board serves as a liaison between the department, the City Manager, City Council and citizens of the community. The board advises and consults with Council on matters affecting Parks and Recreation policies and procedures.


Meetings are held the 2nd Thursday of each month at 1:00 p.m.

Meetings are located at 130 S. Main St. Salisbury, NC 28144 in the 2nd-floor conference room.

The City of Salisbury has 14 active, standing boards and commissions created and appointed by Salisbury City Council.

REQUIREMENTS


Board terms are staggered for two-year or three-year terms and most end on March 31. Applicants must be 18 and a Salisbury resident, with some exceptions.
