On September 13, 2018 Cody Maxwell Schimmels (W/M 03/11/1988) of Salisbury was released from Wake Forest Baptist Hospital and was placed under arrest by the Salisbury Police Department for the incident that happened at the Salisbury Harris Teeter store on 7/12/2018.  Schimmels was charged with 5 counts of 1^stdegree Kidnapping and one count of Attempted Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon. Schimmels is being held in the Rowan County Detention Center under a $750,000.00 secured bond.
