The City of Salisbury will operate on the following schedule for the Christmas and New Year’s holidays:

City office buildings, including the parks and recreation centers and Salisbury Customer Service Center, will be closed on Friday, Dec. 22, through Tuesday, Dec. 26, and on Monday, Jan. 1, 2024.

The city’s public works department will not collect garbage and recycling on Monday, December 25. Garbage collection will be on a one-day delay due to the holiday. The department will not offer limb or leaf collection on Friday, Dec. 22 through Tuesday, Dec. 26, and Monday, Jan. 1, 2024.

Salisbury Transit will operate on its regular schedule from 6 a.m. to 7:08 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 22. Transit will not offer services on Monday, Dec. 25. Regular Transit service will resume on Tuesday, Dec. 26, and continue through Friday, Dec. 29. Transit will not offer service on Monday, Jan. 1, 2024. Transit will return to a regular schedule on Tuesday, January 2, 2024. Transit rides are free on Friday, Dec. 22.

Salisbury-Rowan Utilities’ administrative offices will be closed on Friday, Dec. 22, through Tuesday, Dec. 26, and on Monday, Jan. 1, 2024. If you have a water/sewer emergency after hours or during the holiday, please call (704) 638-5339. Customers can access the 24-hour online bill pay service by visiting, salisburync.gov/customerservice.

The Salisbury Community Park will be closed on Monday, Dec. 25, and will otherwise maintain regular hours of 8 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.
•
The police and fire departments will remain available for emergency services, as usual, during the holiday.
