City modifies residential water & sewer accounts, following Executive Order No.124
In compliance with Governor Roy Cooper’s Executive Order No. 124, The City of Salisbury has made the following changes to residential water & sewer accounts. Salisbury City Council previously voted to suspend utility disconnections back in March in light of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The City will suspend residential account disconnections for nonpayment for at least 60 days, or until the executive order expires
The City of Salisbury will not impose new penalties for late payments or collect on penalties that were imposed on residential accounts as of March 31, 2020, for at least 60 days, or until the executive order expires
Customers, who would like to set up a payment plan, are encouraged to call Customer Service Center at 704-638-5300 Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. to discuss payment arrangement options.

All City-provided services will continue to be billed as normal. We strongly encourage customers to stay as up to date with your payments as possible to avoid building up a large balance that will have to paid when the Order expires.
