The 13th Annual Spooky Sprint 5k at Catawba College Shuford Stadium in Salisbury, NC - 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 29, 2023! There will be a 1/2-Mile Fun Run (two laps around the track) immediately following the 5k!
This month’s employee spotlight is Jay Basinger, a detective and crime scene investigator with the Salisbury Police Department. Jay is a sworn police officer who is always ready to step up and assist wherever needed. As a detective, he investigates a wide range of crime scenes with a focus on major crimes, including homicide, burglary, and sexual assault. Additionally, Jay is a member of the arson task force, where he collaborates with the fire marshal’s office to investigate fire-related incidents.
As part of the West End Salisbury Transformed Empowered Neighborhood Development (WEST END) Grant, monthly meetings will be held with the community to provide updates about the project.
