Rowan EDC Announces New Investment in Local Logistics Hub from DHL Supply Chain

Rowan EDC is thrilled to announce DHL Supply Chain, a division of DHL Group and global leader in the logistics industry, will be expanding their presence to Salisbury, North Carolina.

The DHL Supply Chain will invest over $40 million in tenant improvements at a new warehouse at the Innovation Logistics Center on Peeler Road (I-85, Exit 71), occupying Building 1 with an impressive 713,000 square feet. Crow Holdings is the developer of the property. The operation will be a part of the company’s life sciences and health care business and is set to go live in the summer of 2024.

We are proud to see our area emerge as a preferred destination for globally renowned companies like DHL Supply Chain, and we look forward to the prosperity and opportunities this project will bring to our residents."

Rod Crider, President of Rowan EDC, commented on the project and the strategic location of Rowan County, stating, "DHL Supply Chain’s investment in Rowan County continues their ongoing commitment to excellence in the logistics sector and is also a reflection of our county's strategic position. Located along the I-85 corridor, Rowan County offers the perfect blend of accessibility and efficiency, making it an ideal logistics hub for a company of DHL Supply Chain’s stature.”

The Rowan EDC would like to thank the North Carolina Community College System and NC Commerce’s Workforce Solutions Division for providing customized training for DHL Supply Chain’s future workforce in Salisbury.
