City begins fair housing initiatives in advance of Analysis of Impediments update, survey

City staff, in partnership with the newly-established Salisbury Fair Housing Committee and the Centralina Council of Governments (CCOG), will work together over the upcoming months to conduct a fair housing study as part of the city’s Analysis of Impediments (AI) update project, in compliance with the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).

The Salisbury Police Department hosts a monthly Salisbury Neighborhood Action Group (SNAG) meeting. At these meetings, citizens will hear monthly updates concerning drug investigations, criminal investigations, and code enforcement issues.

Salisbury’s Cheerwine Festival to return for a third ‘cheerful’ year

The family-owned soft drink Cheerwine and its hometown of Salisbury, N.C., are teaming up to bring back the annual “Cheerwine Festival” for its third consecutive year.

The Public Art Committee (PAC) was formed in 2003 to celebrate the City’s history and culture through public art in the downtown, including the Salisbury Sculpture Show, History and Art Trail and the Art in Public Spaces program. 

The Public Art Committee meets at One Water Street at 11:30 a.m.
