SALISBURY CITIZEN'S ACADEMY - OPEN CALL

Have you ever wondered how clean water is delivered to your door, or how the Fire Department decides which trucks respond to certain calls?  Join us in the Salisbury Citizens Academy to find out the answer to these and other questions about City government and operations.

CLASS DETAILS

The class meets weekly on Thursday evenings beginning September 8, 2016 and ending with a graduation November 10, 2016.  Classes are free and open to anyone who is at least 16 years of age.  Priority will be given to residents of Salisbury.  Class size is limited to 20.  Applications must be received by July 22, 2016. Classes are from 5:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. at various City facilities and locations.  Dinner will be provided. Participants will have an interactive, hands-on opportunity to see just what it takes for a city to operate.  City staff will offer a behind-the-scenes look at fire, police, solid waste, parks and recreation, and more.
