Conveniently held following the holidays, this week allows citizens to rid their homes of the extra boxes, paper, and trash items that come along with the festivities.

During loose-leaf collection season (mid-October to mid-March), residents are asked to have all loose leaves raked to the curb by Monday morning of your collection week to be ensured they are collected by Friday. The Third Annual Rowan Creek Week is happening Saturday, August 21 through Saturday, August 28. Creek Week is a week-long celebration of local waters throughout North Carolina. In conjunction with multiple environmental organizations and local municipal departments, Creek Week offers recreational, educational, and volunteer opportunities to allow everyone to enjoy and contribute to healthy waters in our area.
