This month’s employee spotlight is Cory Orbison, a battalion chief for the City of Salisbury Fire Department (SFD). Cory began his firefighter career as a volunteer with the South Salisbury Fire Department before joining the City of Salisbury Fire Department in 2003. In his role, Cory plans and coordinates shifts, serves as an incident commander during fire emergencies, and performs administrative duties.

“I enjoy being here and taking care of the firefighters. I believe if the firefighters are good they will be more equipped to go out and take care of our residents.”
