The Salisbury Police Department hosted its Women in Law Enforcement Luncheon in celebration of National Police Women’s Day on Tuesday, Sept. 12. The luncheon brought together more than 70 remarkable women from various law enforcement agencies, including police departments, sheriff’s offices, and state agencies, representing a broad spectrum of leadership roles.
As part of the West End Salisbury Transformed Empowered Neighborhood Development (WEST END) Grant, monthly meetings will be held with the community to provide updates about the project.

Livingstone College’s annual Homecoming Parade will be held Saturday, Oct. 21 in downtown Salisbury and along streets in the West End. Downtown streets will close at 8:30 a.m., and the parade will begin at 9 a.m.
