Former Kesler Mill Brownfield Cleanup Project
The City of Salisbury will be submitting a grant application to the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Brownfields Program to conduct cleanup activities at the former Kesler Mill site located at 423 North Martin Luther King, Jr. Avenue. The proposed cleanup work will be performed in accordance with one of the alternatives outlined in the Analysis of Brownfields Cleanup Alternatives (ABCA).
The draft ABCA and draft grant application will be available for public review and comment beginning Tuesday, January 22, 2019, and ending Tuesday, January 29, 2019. These documents will be available at the Community Planning Services offices at 132 North Main Street, Salisbury, North Carolina. The public and community-based organizations are encouraged to review and provide comments.
A public meeting will be held to answer questions and accept comments on Monday, January 28, 2019, at 6:00 pm at the Park Avenue Community Center, 632 Park Avenue in Salisbury.
