City of Salisbury provides operation schedule for the 2019 Thanksgiving Holiday
- City office buildings and the Customer Service Center will close at noon on Wednesday, Nov. 27, and will reopen on Monday, Dec. 2.
- The three recreation centers (Hall Gym, City Park Recreation Center and Civic Center) will close at noon on Wednesday, Nov. 27. Miller Recreation Teen Center will open from noon to 4 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 27.
· The four recreation centers will be closed on Thursday, Nov. 28 and Friday, Nov. 29.
· On Saturday, Nov. 30, Hall Gym will reopen from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., City Park Recreation Center will reopen from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and Miller Recreation Teen Center will reopen from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.
· All recreation centers will close on Sunday, Dec. 1, and will reopen for regular hours on Monday, Dec. 2.
- Salisbury Transit service will be limited on Wednesday, Nov. 27. Due to the annual holiday parade, there will be no service on Wednesday, Nov. 27, between 1:20 and 5:20 p.m. There will be no service on Thursday, Nov. 28. Service on Friday, Nov. 29, will operate from 6 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Transit will operate on its regular schedule on Saturday, Nov. 30.
- The City’s Solid Waste Division will offer garbage and recycling collection on its regular schedule.
- The City’s Street Division will not offer leaf collection on Monday, Nov. 25 through Friday, Nov. 29. Thursday, Nov. 28, limb collection will take place on Monday, Nov. 25, and Friday, Nov. 29, limb collection will take place on Tuesday, Nov. 26. Compost giveaway will be cancelled on Friday, Nov. 29.
- Salisbury-Rowan Utilities’ administrative offices will close at noon on Wednesday, Nov. 27. Offices will reopen on Monday, Dec. 2. If you have a water/sewer emergency after hours or during the holiday, please call (704) 638-5339.
- The Salisbury Community Park will be closed on Thursday, Nov. 28 and operate on its regular schedule on Friday, Nov. 29.
- The police and fire departments will remain available for emergency services, as usual, during the holiday.
