The East Fisher Street bridge, which is located between S. Lee and S. Long Streets, is closed for repairs, beginning today through next week.
Crews began maintenance earlier this week and decided to completely close the bridge to vehicle traffic to complete additional repairs.
“Because this is not a major thoroughfare for residents, and there is an ease of access to nearby roads, we don’t intend to put a detour in place,” said Public Works Director W. Craig Powers. “It will be a slight inconvenience to those who regularly travel the bridge. We expect the repairs to take around one week. In the upcoming months, motorists can expect additional maintenance projects in this area. We will be sure to inform the public via our website and RoCo Alerts at that time.”
