Salisbury City Council will host its annual Goals Setting Retreat, Monday, Feb. 11, from 6 to 9 p.m., and Tuesday, Feb. 12, from 9 a.m. until the meeting is concluded, at Livingstone College - Department of Hospitality and Culinary Arts, 530 Jake Alexander Boulevard South.
City staff, in partnership with the newly-established Salisbury Fair Housing Committee and the Centralina Council of Governments (CCOG), will work together over the upcoming months to conduct a fair housing study as part of the city’s Analysis of Impediments (AI) update project, in compliance with the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).

Applications are available for residents interested in serving on the City’s 12 active, standing boards and commissions created and appointed by Salisbury City Council.
The City of Salisbury and Cheerwine are teaming up once again to host the third annual Cheerwine Festival, Saturday, May 18, in downtown Salisbury from noon to 10 p.m. Vendors who want to participate can apply now, at cheerwinefest.com.
The City of Salisbury will operate on a limited schedule for the Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday, Monday, Jan. 21.

Salisbury City Council and city staff will host the fourth in a series of community town hall meetings titled, Chit, Chat & Chew, Thursday, Dec. 6, with dinner beginning at 5:15 p.m., at Fire Station #4, 2325 Statesville Blvd. This event will be held for residents in the “Northwest” area of the city, which encompasses neighborhoods such as Westcliffe, Rolling Hills, Hendrix Estates, Westwood, West Ridge, and Clancy Hills.
