Stay Safe This Halloween Season!

It’s the time of the year when children and adults dress in their costumes, festival decorations are placed and an endless bounty of candy is given for Halloween. To help keep trick-or-treaters safe on Halloween, the Salisbury Fire Department would like to remind everyone of several safety tips.

The Salisbury Fire Department is teaming up with the National Fire Protection Association® (NFPA) — the official sponsor of Fire Prevention Week^TM (FPW) for more than 100 years — to promote this year’s FPW campaign, “Cooking safety starts with YOU. Pay attention to fire prevention^TM.” The campaign works to educate everyone about simple but important actions they can take when cooking to keep themselves and those around them safe.

Salisbury’s newest Fire Station will be located at 150 Mahaley Ave. The 19,400-square-foot fire station will include three drive-through apparatus bays, a Fire Safety Education and Community Outreach Center and the city’s Emergency Operations Center.
