Council to Consider Revenue Bonds for Two Major SRU Projects

At the next City Council meeting on Tuesday, March 3, City Council will consider contract awards to two utility contractors, and adoption of a resolution of bond order related to two major projects within Salisbury-Rowan Utilities (SRU) – the Water Treatment Plant Improvements Project and the Grants Creek Wastewater Treatment Train Improvements Project.

SRU staff provided an update related to the 2020 Revenue Bonds at the Tuesday, Feb. 18, City Council meeting. In that meeting, it was stated the city would issue bonds not to exceed $35 Million, plus the $10.5 Million for Refunding 2009 & 2010 Bonds. At the recommendation of the NC Local Government Commission, the City is requesting a bond order not to exceed $46.5 Million.
