Legislative and Quasi-Judicial hearings are listed below. Follow the links to learn more regarding hearing dates and case information. 

Please note that Rezoning and Text Amendment cases will have one hearing held by the Planning Board and another held by City Council.

 

Legislative Hearings

Legislative hearings are formal sessions held to solicit public input on map and text amendments, as well as annexations. Any member of the public is permitted to speak at these hearings; each speaker is allotted three minutes during the hearing.

Quasi–Judicial Hearings

Quasi-Judicial hearings follow strict, court-like proceedings, and are held to gather evidence and expert or witness testimony. Parties wishing to speak at the hearing must be determined to have standing by the deciding body; hearsay, rumors, and unsubstantiated opinions are not permitted. Decisions made by the deciding bodies are based solely on competent, material, and substantial evidence.
