Winter weather is heading our way again this weekend. Residents should prepare for a prolonged period of severe cold, strong winds, and hazardous road conditions. Many areas still have ice on roadways from last weekend’s storm, making travel especially dangerous.
Please plan to be off the roads by 10 p.m. Friday and stay off roadways throughout the weekend. This allows Public Works crews to work safely and ensures emergency vehicles can travel without delay.
Salisbury’s Public Works teams have already begun pre-treating roads ahead of the expected snow. To support safe and efficient operations, residents are encouraged to:
• Avoid unnecessary travel.
• Limit on-street parking so crews can plow and clear roads.
• Remember that emergency routes, access locations, and major streets will be cleared first.
Property owners are responsible for removing snow and ice from sidewalks adjacent to their property.
The City does not provide sand, salt, or ice melt.
