Today, at approximately 11:50 a.m., the Rowan 911 Center received shots fired calls in the 700 block of N. Lee St. At about the same time a victim with a gunshot wound arrived in the area of the Salisbury Police Department (SPD) headquarters.
The victim stopped his car in the 200 block of N. Lee St. and sought assistance inside the SPD lobby. Officers provided first aid measures until the arrival of Salisbury Fire and Rowan County EMS. Other officers responded to the 700 block of N. Lee St. and found a crime scene at that location that appears associated with the victim at the SPD.
The victim is identified as Sincere J. Houston, 19, of Salisbury, and was transported to Rowan Regional Medical Center for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
