Wendy Spry is a systems analyst II for the Salisbury-Rowan Utilities’ (SRU) Department. She has been employed with the city since 2000, starting in customer service before transitioning to development services and now SRU.
Wendy’s duties include maintaining and developing water and sewer geographic information system (GIS) data layers, conducting map research throughout Rowan County while verifying and ensuring data accuracy, and providing general GIS information to city departments and residents.
“Each day at work I am inspired because I can contribute to the safety of our residents and support my coworkers by making sure our water data is accurate. I do not have daily interactions with residents but when I do speak with them I’m always excited to share how we help to deliver safe, clean water throughout Rowan County.”
