On October 30, 2025, the Salisbury Police Department was notified by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) that an unidentified individual had uploaded possible child pornography.

After conducting a national search and recruitment process, Salisbury City Manager Jim Greene has named Mark Drye as the new Finance Director. Drye will replace current Finance Director, Wade Furches, who is retiring at the end of February.
