Salisbury City Council has adopted the fiscal year 2024-2025 (FY25) budget recommended by City Manager Jim Greene last month. The upcoming fiscal year is the city’s annual financial period beginning July 1, 2024 through June 30, 2025.
Salisbury City Manager Jim Greene has named Jason Wilson, P.E., as interim director of Salisbury-Rowan Utilities (SRU), effective Monday, July 1. Wilson currently serves as SRU’s assistant director.

The City of Salisbury is partnering with Rufty-Holmes Senior Center Board of Directors to create a Master Plan for a new dedicated senior center space, recreation space and an outdoor aquatics facility at the current Salisbury Civic Center site located at 315 Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue. This project will propose updating recreation, aquatics, and senior center facilities for both the City’s and County’s current and future needs based on consideration of history, demographics, and future growth.
