Transit returned to regular bus schedules beginning July 12, 2023 except for Saturday services which are still suspended.
To provide a safe, efficient, and affordable transportation alternative to the general public in the cities of
Salisbury, Spencer, and East Spencer; thus permitting greater accessibility to employment, social, recreational,
educational, and medical facilities.
The department also provides an ADA demand responsive paratransit system
that includes wheelchair lift-equipped vans to accommodate citizens unable to access our fixed route bus system
because of a functional disability. Our bus system is open to the public.
The City of Salisbury's bus system has three regular routes and two weekend routes. Each of these routes arrives and departs from the central Transfer Site located on Depot Street. Any bus you board can take you to the Transfer Site. Salisbury Transit buses do not operate on some holidays.
Inclement Weather
Routes and schedules may be affected by adverse weather conditions such as ice and snow. For information concerning altered bus schedules, subscribe to the City's Nixle texting service, watch News Channel 14, WSOC Channel 9, WBTV Channel 3, listen to local radio stations, or call Transit Operations.
