Downtown Salisbury Hosts 2024 Bell Tower BREWFEST with Weekend Kick-off Buskers’ Bash


Downtown Salisbury hosts its third annual Bell Tower BREWFEST beer festival on Saturday, Oct. 5, at Bell Tower Green from noon to 7 pm. The day before, on Friday, Oct. 4, visitors can visit, eat, and shop in Downtown Salisbury while buskers showcase their array of talents.

This is Downtown’s 11th Annual Buskers’ Bash where local talents including musicians, dancers, magicians, and street entertainers perform for the public. Buskers will showcase their talents from 5:30 to 8 p.m. while downtown shops remain open until 9 p.m. The Bash is free to the public. Guitar pick voting packs and maps will be located in front of the Rowan Museum, City Hall, and Barnhardt Jewelers.

The festivities continue with the Bell Tower BREWFEST. Attendees will enjoy a variety of local and regional breweries, live music, food trucks, and more. You must be 21 years of age to purchase tickets. New this year is a discounted ticket price for designated drivers. After 5 p.m., ticket holders and the general public can purchase full cups of beer while enjoying a live free concert.

Bell Tower BREWFEST tickets include; 

  • one (1) souvenir BREWFEST tasting cup tasting map 
  • one (1) souvenir bag access to free tastings 

AGE RESTRICTION: All ticket holders must be 21 years old or above. A state-issued photo I.D. showing the date of birth is required for each ticket holder (regardless of age). Each ticket holder must be present when checking in or purchasing tickets. Ticket holders must check in at one of the two tent locations at Bell Tower Green, 120 S. Church St. to receive their wristband and tasting cup. This is a rain-or-shine event and no refunds.

Current COVID-19 Restrictions

Executive Order 185:

  • Lifts the Modified Stay at Home Order established under Executive Order 181
  • Still requires face coverings in all public indoor settings
  • Allows many businesses to operate at 50% capacity
  • Extends onsite service of alcohol until 11 p.m.
  • Lifts the 100-person cap on some businesses that were operating at 30% capacity
  • Allows some indoor businesses – including bars and taverns, indoor amusement parks, movie theaters and indoor sports arenas – to open at 30% capacity (with a cap of 250 people)
  • Allows larger indoor arenas with a capacity of more than 5,000 people to open at 15% capacity with no cap (as long as additional safety protocols in place)
  • Increases the indoor mass gathering limit to 25 people (the outdoor mass gathering limit remains at 50 people)

Each of these routes arrives and departs from the central Transfer Site on Depot St. Any bus you board can take you to the Transfer Site. Any member of the public may ride on the bus. The buses do not operate on holidays.

Please note that the last time listed for a stop indicates the last bus will be traveling to that location and no further transfers are available.
