On December 7^th, 2021, Detectives with the Salisbury Police Department Investigation Unit obtained a warrant for Assault with a Deadly Weapon Inflicting Serious Injury with Intent to Kill on a James Edward Jr. (29 yrs old) due to the shooting that occurred on December 7^th, 2021 in the 1300 Block of West Horah Street. 

On December 9^th, 2021, the South Carolina State Law Enforcement Division (SLED) arrested Mr. Edward at a residence in South Carolina.   Mr. Edward is currently awaiting extradition back to Rowan County.  

            The Salisbury Police Department would like to thank the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigations (NCSBI) and the South Carolina State Law Enforcement Division (SLED) for their assistance in locating and arresting Mr. Edward.
