Salisbury Police Seek Two in Catawba College Robberies

Salisbury Police have obtained warrants for two suspects in the two burglaries and armed robbery that occurred at 2300 W Innes St at Catawba College’s Stanback Hall.

On February 14, 2017 a dorm room at Stanback Hall was entered and clothing, electronics and jewelry were stolen.

On February 15, 2017 a dorm room at Stanback Hall was entered and ransacked. An adjoining room was entered and the suspects pointed a gun at the victim and demanded his and his roommate’s property. The two suspects then left the building.

Police are searching for Justin Traig Sterling, age 21 of 3315 E Highway 218, Monroe, NC and Elias Phillip Francis, age 19 of 6831 Pine Lake Lane, Mint Hill, NC.
Each have outstanding warrants for 1 count of robbery with a dangerous weapon, 2 counts of felony breaking and entering and 1 count of felony larceny.
