As temperatures drop, frozen pipes and leaks can lead to unexpected spikes in your water bill. Cold weather increases the risk of broken water lines, which can cause significant water loss and costly repairs.

To help monitor your water usage and detect leaks early, Salisbury-Rowan Utilities (SRU) offers EyeOnWater, a FREE service available to all customers. This tool allows you to track your water consumption and set up leak alerts via a smartphone app or online. Visit eyeonwater.com or download the app today!

If you suspect a major water leak due to freezing pipes, please contact SRU’s Maintenance Department at (704) 638-5390 or the Salisbury Customer Service Center (CSC) at (704) 638-5300 to report the issue.

Additionally, customers should continue paying their monthly water bills and submit a repair statement to CSC identifying the cause of increased usage. Once water consumption returns to normal, the account may qualify for an adjustment review.
