Salisbury, N.C., (Wednesday, June 1, 2016) – Salisbury-Rowan Utilities had a discharge of untreated wastewater from the 1500 block of McCanless Road in Salisbury, of approximately 32,000 gallons of which approximately 27,000 gallons reached surface waters.

The discharge occurred on May 31, and lasted for approximately 90 minutes. The untreated wastewater entered an unnamed tributary to Crane Creek of the Yadkin- Pee Dee River basin. The spill was due to pipe failure.

This notice is required by North Carolina General Statute Article 21 Chapter 143- 215.1C(b).
