The Uplift Academy, in partnership with the Salisbury-Rowan NAACP and the Salisbury Police Department, will host a flag football game on Saturday, Nov. 20th at Salisbury High School (500 Lincolnton Road Salisbury, NC 28144).
Holiday Parade in Downtown Spencer and Salisbury
The 'Tis the Season Spectacular is a community event open to the public. This year's parade will be held Wednesday, November 24, 2021. The holiday parade will follow the route of main street through Spencer and Salisbury's historic downtowns. The parade will begin at 2 p.m. in Downtown Spencer and reach Downtown Salisbury at 3 p.m. The parade will present musical acts, floats and more. The community is invited to participate and enjoy the parade by filling the sidewalks and public space as we celebrate the beginning of another beautiful holiday season in Rowan County!
The biggest shopping night of the year happens in Downtown Salisbury! Live music, hot cocoa and so much more. Maybe we’ll even see some snow!
Small Business Saturday is celebrated on the Saturday after Thanksgiving. In the U.S., this holiday is part of three major shopping days. The other two big shopping days are Black Friday and Cyber Monday.
The Salisbury Police Department hosts a monthly Salisbury Neighborhood Action Group (SNAG) meeting. At these meetings, citizens will hear monthly updates concerning drug investigations, criminal investigations, and code enforcement issues.
Due to worsening COVID-19 conditions, the Salisbury Police Department is postponing SNAG meetings until further notice.

The City Council is the governing body of the City of Salisbury. The Council is comprised of five members who are elected on a non-partisan basis for two-year terms. Each Council member serves at-large and represents the entire City.
