Leaf collection season runs from mid-October to mid-March, and here’s everything you need to know to ensure smooth pickup:
- Check the Leaf Collection Map: Find your collection week on the map at salisburync.gov/Leaf.
- Pile Placement: Keep leaves three feet away from any other objects (like mailboxes, cars, or trees), and make sure your pile isn’t in the street. Pile Size: Leaf piles can be any height but should be no more than five feet deep for easier collection.
- Leaves Only: The collection crew will only pick up leaves—please don’t include branches or tree limbs.
Important Details:
No need to bag your leaves! During leaf season, simply pile them at the curb for pickup.
Yard waste collection is available to City of Salisbury residents who pay the solid waste fee. Please note that this service is only for materials from your property, and not for vacant lots, unoccupied properties, or commercial properties.
Make sure to keep an eye on the schedule and pile your leaves properly for a smooth and easy pickup!
