Celebrating the 100th Anniversary of the 19th Amendment - Women’s Right to Vote

Mayor Alexander is pleased to invite you to attend a virtual celebration recognizing the 100th Annivesary of the ratiication of the 19th Amendment.  Mayor Alexander will be joined by artist Mary Ruden who will speak about honoring the Suffragists movement through art.  Kara Deadmon, Musuem Curator with the NC State Capitol, will also share information about North Carolina’s  Suffragist movement and the traveling exhibition “She Changed the World”

This virtual event will be held August 18 from 12:00 noon – 1:00 p.m.  Registration for the event is available below:
