The time to vote is approaching fast. The deadline to register to vote is Friday, Oct. 11.
If you are not registered by then, you can't vote in 2019. The Municipal Election is on Tuesday, Nov. 5.
Absentee Voting By-Mail:
Friday, Oct. 4, starts absentee voting by-mail in Rowan County. The last day to request an absentee ballot by mail is Tuesday, Oct. 29.
Early Voting:
The Rowan County Board of Elections office located at 1935 W. Jake Alexander Blvd. (West End Plaza) will be the (1) one-stop early voting site for the 2019 municipal election. Any registered voter in Rowan County is welcome to take advantage of the early voting site.
The Board of Elections office will be open Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. – 7 p.m. beginning on Wednesday, Oct. 16, through Friday, Nov. 1. The site will also open on Saturday, Oct. 26, from 9 a.m. - 2 p.m. You will not be able to vote at the Board of Elections office on Election Day -- you will be required to go to your registered polling place.
