Salisbury City Council and city staff will host the second in a series of community town hall meetings titled, Chit, Chat & Chew, Tuesday, June 26, beginning at 5:15 p.m., at J.C. Price Legion Post, 1433 Old Wilkesboro Road. This event will be held for residents in the Central City Square and “West End” area of the city, which encompasses neighborhoods such as the West End, Fulton Heights and West Square. 

The City of Salisbury invites residents to apply for the 2018 Citizen’s Academy -- a ten-week academy highlighting city operations.

With National Small Business Week approaching, the personal-finance website WalletHub named Salisbury one of the best small cities to start a business in its report on 2018’s Best Small Cities to Start a Business. 

To commemorate the launch of Cheerwine’s second century, the City of Salisbury and Cheerwine are teaming up to host a Cheerwine-themed festival.

The free event will take place on Saturday, May 19, in downtown Salisbury from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Cheerwine fans will enjoy cold Cheerwine, live music, great Southern food, shopping for Cheerwine merchandise, family-friendly activities, a beer garden and local craft vendors.

The City of Salisbury will operate on the following schedule for the Presidents Day holiday, Monday, Feb. 19

After further evaluation of area roadways this morning, City administrative offices will instead open at noon today, Thursday, January 18.
