Students looking for a great way to gain work experience, make valuable connections, and get involved in the community can find a number of opportunities through internships with the City. This summer, Salisbury welcomed several interns in various departments.

The City of Salisbury will operate on a limited schedule for the Memorial Day holiday, Monday, May 28.
The Cheerwine Festival will be held on Saturday, May 19, in Salisbury 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. In preparation for the Festival, the city will begin to close roadways on Friday, May 18, at 8 p.m.
Salisbury Transit and Livingstone College will continue the partnership that offers enhanced, weekend transportation routes for students living on the main campus and at the new hospitality management campus on Jake Alexander Blvd. to allow for greater mobility for students throughout the City.
Salisbury Transit and Livingstone College created a partnership that would allow all Livingstone students, faculty and staff to ride the Weekend Express, as well as the Monday through Friday routes, for free. All that is required is a valid Livingstone ID. The city's TV show, Salisbury NOW, has provided a video explaining the services.

The Salisbury Transit System (STS) has developed an Adopt-A-Shelter program for local business and organizations. According to transit officials, the program is designed to allow businesses, individuals, community organizations and schools make a difference in their neighborhoods by reporting special maintenance needs, vandalism and/or suspicious activity at community bus shelters.
