Salisbury Police Department Investigating an ICAC case 2-27-2025

On February 26, 2025, at approximately 9:30 PM, the Salisbury Police Department, with the assistance of the Rowan County Sheriff's Office, executed a search warrant at 502 Wesley Drive, Salisbury, NC.  The search warrant was obtained due to an ICAC (Internet Crimes Against Children) case that the Salisbury Police Department Criminal Division started investigating earlier that day.

Public Comment Window Open for Neighborhood Traffic Calming Policy

From Wednesday, February 9 through Tuesday, March 4 at 5 p.m., the City of Salisbury’s Neighborhood Traffic Calming Policy will be available for review by the public. This policy is intended to create safe streets for all, reduce thoroughfare traffic, and reduce speeding while also guiding and improving staff’s response to traffic calming requests.

The Salisbury City Council announces several leadership changes, including the appointment of Tamara Sheffield as Mayor and Harry McLaughlin as Mayor Pro Tem. Additionally, Susan Kluttz—who previously served on the Salisbury City Council and as Secretary of Cultural Resources under Governor Pat McCrory—has been selected to fill the vacancy created by Mayor Pro Tem Sheffield’s new role.
