The City of Salisbury will operate on the following schedule for the Christmas and New Year’s holidays:
On December 7th, 2021, Detectives with the Salisbury Police Department Investigation Unit obtained a warrant for Assault with a Deadly Weapon Inflicting Serious Injury with Intent to Kill on a James Edward Jr. (29 yrs old) due to the shooting that occurred on December 7th, 2021 in the 1300 Block of West Horah Street.
The Salisbury Community Appearance Commission (CAC) is pleased to announce the winners of the 17th annual Holiday Storefront Decorations Awards, an event that celebrates downtown merchants whose window displays best capture the holiday season. When fat, oil, grease and wax is poured or flushed down the drain it may not travel very far through your pipes. FOG will accumulate and stick to the pipe walls causing future sewer backups in your home, condominium, restaurant, or other buildings.

The City of Salisbury’s finance department has been awarded the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting from the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada (GFOA) for the fiscal year ended June 30, 2020. The Certificate of Achievement for the city’s comprehensive annual financial report (CAFR) is the highest form of recognition in the area of governmental accounting and financial reporting.
The City of Salisbury Public Works Department is inviting residents to participate in the Free Annual Winter Spruce-Up Week scheduled Monday, Jan. 3 through Friday, Jan 7, 2022. Conveniently held following the holidays, this week allows citizens to rid their homes of the extra boxes, paper, and trash items that come along with the festivities.
Starting a career with the City of Salisbury in 2003 as the City’s first webmaster, Jason Parks currently serves as Video Services Coordinator / TV Station Manager. In his role, Jason does project research, provides audio and video support to City staff, and film projects such as City Council meetings and PSAs. He is also responsible for creating and managing content for WSRG-TV, the City’s local government TV station.
