ADA Paratransit Service will be provided by the City of Salisbury Transit System, starting Monday, August 3. Previously, the Rowan Transit System provided the city’s ADA Paratransit service via a third party. Due to the transition from the third party, Rowan Transit will no longer take reservations as of Thursday, July 30, nor provide ADA Paratransit as of Friday, July 31. Starting Monday, July 27, please call Salisbury Transit at (704) 638-5252 or (704) 638-5253 to make reservations for ADA Paratransit trips.

The relocation of the Fame statue is a process that takes a great deal of planning, which includes securing appropriate personnel, construction equipment, and an extended closure of a NCDOT roadway through the middle of downtown.
Connie has been employed with the city since 2011, starting as a senior office assistant. Hoke Chapter of the United Daughters of the Confederacy (UDC) has signed the original proposed Fame statue relocation agreement, previously agreed upon by Salisbury City Council and the Historic Salisbury Foundation. Salisbury Mayor Karen Alexander received the notarized document from the UDC Hoke Chapter president late Sunday, June 21 -- five days before the Friday, June 26, deadline.
