The Salisbury Citizen’s Academy, a 10-week academy in which residents learn firsthand about city operations, is now accepting applications for class members. There is no cost, and participants find the experience rewarding and a fun look behind-the-scenes at city operations.

The Technical Review Committee (TRC) is slated to meet (on an as needed basis) the third Thursday of each month at 9:00 a.m. via Zoom when there are items for an agenda.

ADA Paratransit Service will be provided by the City of Salisbury Transit System, starting Monday, August 3. Previously, the Rowan Transit System provided the city’s ADA Paratransit service via a third party. Due to the transition from the third party, Rowan Transit will no longer take reservations as of Thursday, July 30, nor provide ADA Paratransit as of Friday, July 31. Starting Monday, July 27, please call Salisbury Transit at (704) 638-5252 or (704) 638-5253 to make reservations for ADA Paratransit trips.

The Salisbury Community Action Teams (CATS), will host its third annual Community Resource Fair for parents and school children, Saturday, Aug. 15, 9:30 a.m. to noon, at the Civic Center, 315 S. Martin Luther King, Jr. Ave. This year’s event will take the form as a drive-thru event to remain consistent with COVID-19 precautions.
