Mayor Alexander is pleased to invite you to attend a virtual celebration recognizing the 100th Annivesary of the ratiication of the 19th Amendment.  Mayor Alexander will be joined by artist Mary Ruden who will speak about honoring the Suffragists movement through art.  Kara Deadmon, Musuem Curator with the NC State Capitol, will also share information about North Carolina’s  Suffragist movement and the traveling exhibition “She Changed the World”

The Second Annual Rowan Creek Week will take place August 22-29, 2020. The stormwater division, in conjunction with multiple environmental organizations and Rowan County, Creek Week offers recreational, educational, and volunteer opportunities to allow everyone the opportunity to enjoy and contribute to healthy waters in our area.

Still have a GREEN and YELLOW recycling cart? Place the empty cart at your curb by 7 a.m. on Monday, August 24. The Public Works department will pick it up by Friday, August 28. If you do not yet have your new, BLUE recycling cart, contact Public Works at (704) 638-5260.

By appointment only: Wednesday 8:30 a.m. - 5 p.m.
