The City of Salisbury will operate on the following schedule for the Thanksgiving Day holiday:
City Offices
City office buildings, including Parks and Recreation facilities and the Salisbury Customer Service Center, will close at 12 p.m. on Wednesday, November 26, and will reopen on Monday, December 1.
Transit Service
Salisbury Transit will operate on Wednesday, November 26, from 6 a.m. to 12 p.m. There will be no service on Thanksgiving Day (Thursday, November 27). On Friday, November 28, transit service will run from 6 a.m. to 2:40 p.m. Regular operating hours (6 a.m. to 7:08 p.m.) will resume on Monday, December 1.
Salisbury-Rowan Utilities
Administrative offices will close at 12 p.m. on Wednesday, November 26, and will reopen on Monday, December 1. For after-hours or holiday water and sewer emergencies, please call 704-638-5339.
Public Works
• Garbage and recycling collection will run as usual the week of Thanksgiving.
• Leaf collection will be paused from Monday, November 24 through Friday, November 28.
• No compost giveaway will take place on Friday, November 28.
• Limb collection scheduled for Thursday, November 27, and Friday, November 28 will occur the following week on Thursday, December 4, and Friday, December 5.
Parks
Salisbury Community Park will be closed on Thanksgiving Day (Thursday, November 27) and will operate on a regular schedule on Friday, November 28.
Public Safety
The Salisbury Police Department and Salisbury Fire Department will remain on duty and available for emergency services throughout the holiday
