Koontz Award Nominations Due April 24

Nominations are being accepted for the 2026 Dr. Elizabeth Duncan Koontz Humanitarian Award.

This annual award honors individuals and organizations in Salisbury who have made significant contributions to improving human relations across areas such as education, employment, housing, industry, business, civic life, faith communities, advocacy, and community service.

The award is named in memory of Elizabeth “Libby” Koontz, one of the leaders who helped re-establish the Salisbury Human Relations Council in 1985.

The deadline for nominations is Friday, April 24. For more information, call 704-638-5220 or email relationscommission@salisburync.gov.
