The City of Salisbury has received approximately 12 inches of snow, and snow continues to fall. Travel conditions are extremely dangerous.
Please stay off the roads:
Emergency crews are actively responding across the city. Do not go out unless you are responding to an emergency. Road conditions are deteriorating, and portions of Interstate 85 have been shut down.
Warming station remains open:
Rowan Helping Ministries’ warming station will remain open through Tuesday, Feb. 3.
The warming station is open from 8 p.m. to 8 a.m. at Jeannie’s Kitchen, 217 N. Long St., Salisbury, N.C. Anyone in need of a warm, safe place to stay overnight is welcome.
