The Salisbury Police Department (SPD) is investigating a shooting in the 1300 Block of West Horah Street. SPD is asking people to avoid the area.

Application Period Now Open for HOME-ARP Grant Funds

The American Rescue Plan (ARP) provides $5 billion to assist individuals or households who are homeless, at risk of homelessness, and other vulnerable populations, by providing housing, rental assistance, supportive services, and non-congregate shelter, to reduce homelessness and increase housing stability across the country. These grant funds will be administered through HUD’s HOME Investment Partnerships Program (HOME).

Qualifying organizations can complete the below application during the period beginning December 1, 2021 through December 31, 2021.

Salisbury City Council today announced the appointment of W. Brian Hiatt as interim city manager on a part-time basis as the locality begins its permanent manager search. Hiatt retired as the city manager of Concord in spring 2018, and subsequently served as Salisbury’s interim community planning director for five months.

True to the motto of “Every officer has a neighborhood and every neighborhood has an officer,” Cyndi takes calls for service primarily in Zone three and assists officers in other zones. She also serves warrants and helps with traffic accidents.
